Essential, a family-run clothing supplier who have been supplying branded corporate clothing, uniforms, workwear and related promotional items for over 20 years, won three prestigious awards last Wednesday at the SME Luton and Bedfordshire Business Awards. Essential were the big winners of the entire evening scooping the titles of Dunstable Business of the Year, Business of the Year: Over 50 Employees and Overall Business of the Year 2019 for the county.

Winners from nineteen categories of the SME Luton and Beds awards were crowned at the third annual black-tie gala dinner which took place at Bedford Corn Exchange on Wednesday May 8th, 2019. Essential will now go on to compete at the SME National Business Awards at Wembley Stadium on Friday 6th December 2019, representing Luton and Bedfordshire in Business of the Year (More than 50 employees). Essential were the only business to be awarded three winner titles.

Judges’ comments included, “Great application, superb company results and re-investment into their business. The growth over the years has been astonishing, you can see they (Essential) really care about the clients they work with and the local community.”
Damian Cummins, Awards Director further commented, “The calibre of entrants this year was exceptionally high, this makes Essential’s achievement even more impressive and we wish them well in Wembley later this year.”
