Rotolight, award-winning British LED lighting manufacturer, have teamed up with Hire A Camera, one of the UK’s leading camera equipment rental companies, to offer creatives the opportunity to test the latest in lighting technology before purchasing.
The Rotolight Try Before You Buy service takes the pressure and guesswork out of buying new lighting equipment. As part of the promotion, users can receive a three-day weekend hire, or weekday rental of an Anova PRO 2, NEO 2 Kit, or AEOS 2 light kit, with collection available from a number of retailers across the country. Upon purchase of the chosen kit, users will receive a full refund of their hire fee*.
“We are delighted to announce this scheme with Hire a Camera, to provide creative image-makers the opportunity to test the latest in LED lighting technologies on their next shoot and to utilise first-hand the advantages of our unique ‘shoot what you see’ lighting technology, with industry-first innovations such as HSS flash with zero recycle time, and built-in CineSFX™ for filmmakers” says Rod Aaron Gammons, managing director of Rotolight.
Hire A Camera will carry the full range of Rotolight’s award-winning lighting solutions including NEO 2, AEOS and Anova PRO 2; all offering a powerful, bi-colour, continuous LED light with High-Speed Sync flash capability, perfect for both photographers and videographers. Rotolight LEDs are renowned for offering outstanding colour accuracy (CRI 96, TLCI 91), and the electronically adjustable brightness and colour temperature (3150-6300K) allows users to match the lights perfectly to the ambient lighting environment. For photographers on the go, Rotolight delivers zero recycle time between flashes for those moments you can’t afford to miss; making them ideal for modern, high-frame-rate capable cameras.
For cinematographers, all Rotolight LEDs come with a customisable suite of built-in CineSFX™ designed in conjunction with VFX veteran, Stefan Lange (Batman, Skyfall, Tomb Raider), to simulate lighting effects such as paparazzi, lightning and fire for added creativity on set.
“Rotolight are a really flexible piece of kit. They’ve opened up a whole new window of how to direct and how to shoot. Extremely fast, extremely light, extremely reliable; they’re just a fantastic tool” says three-time BAFTA and two-time RTS winning director, Kevin Chapman.
The Try Before You Buy service will launch through Hire A Camera’s website starting September 7th with free next day collection from participating retailers; terms and conditions apply.
