Britain’s family-owned businesses are the engine room of our economy. From artisan cheesemakers in Cornwall and Savile Row tailors in London through to farming families in Yorkshire and digital agencies in Kent. They vary in size and industry as well as in the number of generations involved. Every single family business is as unique as a finger print and all face their own challenges. Yet the thing that brings them all together? Shared family values and a passion and commitment to building a better business for future generations.
This year’s Annual Family Business Survey gathered the thoughts of family firms from all corners of the UK on their biggest challenges, what they saw as potential opportunities and their experience of access to funding for future growth.
